Barbara Klein
Director of Benefits and Unemployment
As the Director of Benefits and Unemployment, Ms. Klein is responsible for the design and plan administration of all SCI Companies’ core benefit offerings including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life, disability and other ancillary products in addition to administering client sponsored health and welfare plans. She also oversees and directs the daily operations of unemployment claim administration which includes claims, reporting and the unemployment appeals process. Ms. Klein is located in the Tampa office.
Ms. Klein joined SCI in March of 2002 with over 20 years of payroll and benefits experience for mid-size companies. While she was in New York, she worked for a major book publisher overseeing the royalty department in addition to her payroll and benefits responsibilities.
She attended Long Island University where she majored in mathematics with a minor in education. As a CPP, she taught the Certified Payroll Professional Learning Series Class at Hillsborough Community College.
